Traditional Funeral Service
The traditional funerel service is one of the time-honored customs when paying tribute to a loved one. Each service is customized to say something special about each individual. Certain items must be considered when planning for this service. Some of these items are cemetery arrangements, services at the graveside, church or funeral home chapel, minister or individual to speak at the funeral, pallbearers, songs for the service, just to mention a few. All of these items will be arranged by our funeral directors to follow all your wishes. We will handle cemetery arrangements, minister contacts, musicians, pallbeareres and so forth. It is our desire to take as much of the burden off you and your family during what can be a very difficult time. Financial decisions will also need to be made. A traditional funeral service charge will apply to this funeral choice. This basically includes all charges that will take place at the funeral home. A complete itemization of charges will be provided to you. This charge is standard to most funeral homes with variations in charges. It is important to compare our "full traditional service charge" with other funeral homes to see the value that you will receive at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel.

Traditional Graveside Service
This service basically is the services listed above with the service being held at the cemetery of your choice instead
of options listed above. Again, we will handle all arrangements for you.

Cremation Options
We offer a full variety of options in regard to cremation. These options include direct cremation, cremation with a memorial service and visitation, or a full service cremation with chapel or church service. All of these options will be expained to you by one of our licensed funeral directors. Again, feel free to compare prices when making your final decisions. Make sure that you get the service you want at the amount that you want to spend.

Other services
We can gladly handle many other types of service that you desire. Some of these are shipping to another funeral home for final arrangements, whether in this state or across the country. We will handle it all for you. We will also receive your loved one's remains from another funeral home for final plans. We are half an hour from the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and can provide service to you in any way you desire.

Items That Will Make Your Service Special
Some items that we have added to our services personalize your funeral service. As part of our traditional service charge, we prepare a memorial DVD that is made from pictures that you provide to us--usually between twenty and thirty pictures are used. We place these onto a DVD with background music of your choosing and play this memorial at the visitation or service of your loved one. What a wonderful keepsake for your family-- just our gift to you. Other items that you may choose to enhance your funeral experience will be explained to you by one of our staff. There is no detail that we will not attempt to make happen for you.

Payment Options
Each family will be counseled as to what is their best payment option. It is our desire to
offer as many options for you and your family as we can.
Pre-funded funeral plans made here at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel is a wonderful way to plan for your funeral. Pre-arranged funerals from other funeral homes are also a great way to take care of all your expenses. Just because you have pre-planned your funeral at another funeral home, you do not have to use that funeral home. Georgia law gives you the right to transfer those plans to any funeral home of your choice. We will be glad to work with you in this regard.
Assignable life insurance is the number one most used method of payment for funeral costs. We will secure all the claim forms for you and prepare an assignment that will pay for your funeral from the proceeds of the life insurance.
Cash, check or credit card at time of arrangememts of course will be accepted as well.
